Anna Tsinandali Estate – Premium Red Semi-Sweet Wine
Discover the elegance and historical charm of Anna Tsinandali Estate, a sublime red semi-sweet wine inspired by the rich legacy of the Chavchavadze family. Named in honor of Anna Bagrationi-Chavchavadze—the grand philanthropist and legendary hostess of the estate—this unique creation is a masterful blend of two premier, indigenous Georgian red grape varieties.
The Royal Blend, Terroir & Viticulture This exceptional vintage brings together the bold power of Saperavi and the refined elegance of Aleksandrouli. The grapes are mindfully cultivated across distinct south-east-facing plots within the prestigious Tsinandali PDO, nestled 600–700 meters above sea level. Embraced by a lush oak forest and rooted in well-drained clay-limestone soils, the estate employs sustainable viticulture methods—such as cover cropping and pest mating disruption—to nurture a balanced, thriving ecosystem where nature and the vine coexist in perfect harmony.
Meticulous Vinification To craft the natural sweetness of Anna, only fully ripe grapes with an naturally high sugar content are selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23°C. After two weeks, as the residual sugar reaches the ideal profile, the wine is separated from the pomace and cooled to naturally halt the process. This meticulous technique results in a flawlessly balanced, premium semi-sweet wine with a sophisticated 14.5% ABV.
Tasting Notes & Food Pairing On the nose, the wine opens with pronounced, enticing aromas of fresh red fruits. The palate is beautifully fruit-forward and velvety, gracefully supported by ripe, balanced tannins. A harmonious interplay of refreshing acidity and natural sweetness creates a remarkably soft, inviting finish. This elegant red wine serves as a delightful companion to light desserts, fruit tarts, gourmet cheeses, or can be enjoyed on its own.
